Israel has killed 2,396 Palestinians and injured 6,325 in Gaza since March 18, 2025

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reports that the Israeli army has killed at least 2,396 Palestinians and injured 6,325 others since Israel broke the ceasefire agreement and resumed the genocide on March 18, 2025.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health states that at least 77 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed and 275 wounded in the past 48 hours.

Since October 7, 2023, at least 52,495 Palestinians have been killed and 118,366 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry reports that many victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and that ambulances and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.

The actual death toll is higher, as many remain buried under the ruins of destroyed buildings.

“A Very Dark Chapter in Human History”

A surgeon who has volunteered in Gaza has criticized the international community for not intervening against Israel’s genocide and total blockade of Gaza.

Dr. Mohammad Tahir stated that the “gradual dehumanization of the population in Gaza – and in Palestine in general – has made it possible for Israel to kill tens of thousands of civilians without consequences.”

“No one is even trying to hide anymore that humanitarian aid is being used as a weapon to achieve political goals,” he told Al Jazeera. “This is not a claim – it is an admission. There is nothing to debate.”

Since the beginning of the year, over 9,000 Palestinian children have been treated for malnutrition. According to Tahir, it is currently especially vulnerable children with chronic illnesses who are dying, but if the total blockade continues, even more will be killed.

“How can the world allow this to happen? We are in a very dark chapter in human history.”
